No biggie

"I love it when you call me big poppa, throw your hands in the air if youse a true playa"

Like most teenage boys my brothers went through a period of listening to Notorious B.I.G, Tupac (yep they had no allegiances), Wu Tang and Snoop Dog (pre-lion days obviously). As the only girl and the youngest, I had no chance at commandeering the stereo or tape player in the car to listen to Aqua, instead I was dropping gangster beats in the school yard...until they moved onto their heavy metal faze. This ASOS sweatshirt is one of the many novelty-esque jumpers that seem to keep making their way into my wardrobe. It is probably one of my favourites because it is a reminder of car trips with my brothers rapping about things we had no understanding of, while my mum tried not to make eye contact with other parents in their passing cars.

Winter blues

St Frock Navy Knit, A Storm of Swords by George Martin

I'm currently keeping the winter blues at bay by indulging in two of my favourite obsessions. Warm, cosy knits and anything Game of Thrones related.
The only problem with this knit from St Frock is that I've been constantly layering it with so much red and white that I'm beginning to look like the Australian flag. . .and the American flag. . .and England's flag hmmm. Anyway aside from my patriotic styling, I've been wearing this knit so much that I think it's about time I bought its grey twin, least then no one will try to hoist me up a pole :)
Who else is obsessed with Game of Thrones? The wait for season 5 is going to be torturous but I've bought all the books to lessen the pain. I had read the first book a couple of years ago and was so confused by all the Tyrion's, Tywins and Tyrell's I never attempted to read on but watching the show then reading the books makes everything so much easier, definitely the way to go!

Jaggar The Label

I have been anticipating the release of Jaggar The Label’s new collection ‘Riders on the Storm’ for months and now has arrived! At first, Jaggar The Label was an exclusive label to the online fashion sanctuary FSHN BNKR but after everyone realised just how awesome it was and the demand for more of their simple yet edgy aesthetic grew so too did the label and their collections.

If you want to own a piece of that awesomeness you can buy Jaggar The Label online at FSHN BNKR and The Birdcage Boutique, they are the only stockists I’ve used personally but I’m sure there are many more as Jaggar The Label has become a global sensation, worn by top bloggers and supermodels alike. Personally I want every item of clothing from ‘Riders on the Storm’ to make its way to my wardrobe, especially the Storm Skirt and Stargazer Dress. I’m more than comfortable with living off mi goreng noodles if it means having copious amounts of kick ass clothing by this aussie label.

Happy skin with Sukin & Kosmea

Like a bear in reverse my blog has been in hibernation over the summer. There are many reasons/excuses for my internet absence but really who cares? The main thing is I’m back behind the keyboard and camera!

And the first topic up for conversation in 2014 (how the hell is it May tomorrow?!!?) is skincare.

Yep skincare, that thing I had no real idea about until I woke up one morning shockingly aware of my 25 years spent in the sun and decided it was time to give my skin some TLC. My skincare criteria was inexpensive (because there was a chance it would end up at the back of my bathroom cabinet collecting dust) and as organic/natural as possible. After consulting a lovely Endota Spa consultant who pointed me in the right direction (away from expensive ‘crap’) I was introduced to Sukin, an Australian brand of environmentally conscious natural products. I honestly can’t say enough happy positive things about Sukin, the purifying facial masque with kaolin clay is the bee's knees! Just about every product I try smells delicious and makes my skin feel incredible.

And then there is Kosmea, a South Australian family run company whose Rose Hip oil I’ve grown up using and has now become a favourite among bloggers. If I could only use one beauty product for the rest of my life, it would be their Rose Hip Oil. Not foundation, not mascara, not even deodorant (sorry about the smell) but Kosmea Rose Hip Oil. It’s the bomb diggity.
